Linking MDGs & SADC Gender Equality Agenda

This report shows that MDGs have been conceptualized as a framework to ensure gender equality and development. It also links the African and SADC Agenda vision on gender equality in relation with the development.
Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) were developed as a pathway to achieve the Millennium Declaration of 2000 which includes gender equality, empowerment of women to combat poverty, diseases, hunger and stimulates development.
This report shows that MDGs have been conceptualized as a framework to ensure gender equality and development. It also links the African and SADC Agenda vision on gender equality in relation with the development.
Several proposals are explained to show the way Parliaments can use the MDGs to reach development especially with the gender equality as the central theme to attain set goals.
