ACORD is a pan-African development organisation, consisting of:
- Programme offices in 18 countries, run by around 350 local staff, who lead and implement the majority of ACORD's work.
- Secretariat in Nairobi with a second office in London, run by 25 staff from across Africa and beyond. The secretariat coordinates implementation of pan-African programme work and provide technical backstopping and support to country offices.
- Board of trustees which provides guidance and oversight.
This structure is supported by a consultative international decision making process. The main elements of this are the annual General Assembly and tri-annual Donors' Roundtable and Learning Forum.
Board of trustees
With a majority African board, ACORD's governance is coherent and supportive of its identity as a Pan African Organisation working for social justice.
